Tonight, Rich and Griffin check out Germany’s tea, a 2nd flush (later summer) Darjeeling tea. Chosen as Germany’s tea due to their large consumption and one of the world’s major Darjeeling importers, Rich and Griffin both give this tea a firm stamp of approval.

Episode 2 – World Cup Teas, Part 2: Lapsang Souchong (Netherlands)

Tonight’s tea is the Lapsang Souchong, a Chinese black tea smoked over Chinese pines. Originally imported by the Dutch, this tea was popularized by them and is now famous around the world!

Episode 1 – World Cup Teas, Part 1: Moroccan Mint (Spain)

This week, Rich and Griffin review a Chinese green gunpowder tea blended with peppermint leaves. Originally consumed in Morocco, this tea spread in popularity in surrounding areas, such as Spain. It’s because of this high Spanish consumption today that it has been selected for Spain’s World Cup tea.

Tea Time Tuesday Officially Launches

Cary, NC – Tea Time Tuesday is now bringing tea to you. As of today, the online store has opened, offering you access to premium loose leaf teas, the Tea Time Tuesday Tea Club, accessories, and branded merchandise.

Tea Time Tuesday’s loose leaf tea library kicks off with a World Cup Tea collection. With four countries remaining, this gives patrons an easy way to try four teas. The countries and corresponding teas are: Netherlands, Lapsang Souchong; Uruguay, Maté (green); Germany, Darjeeling; and Spain, Moroccan Mint. These are available at 100g each or together as a set at 50g each.

Tea Time Tuesday’s Tea Club begins in August and will be available for purchase the first three weeks of July. With three tiers to choose from, the Tea Club can fit any budget. Additional information can be found online.

Also available on the site are various accessories and merchandise.
